Welcome to the first show of a new series titled “DMC ERAS”. Supported by DMC Australia

We will be paying homage to former great Australian DMC representatives, who really set the tone for our hip-hop & DJ scene, from specific eras in time… First up we start where it all began, the 90′s… It was raw and rugged, however the guys had skills. We welcome one of Australia’s early best for the opener… Expect skratching, beat juggling, flaring, transforming & plenty more…

DJ A.$.K has over 20 years experience as a OJ and has worked professionally since 1988,And was rated as Australia’s number one hip-hop DJ from 88-97 and had entered and won practically every major Australian dj mixing competition up to 97 as well as representing Australia at the World DMC Mixing Championships in 90 and 96. He was one of the early pioneers of hip hop in Australia and appeared on the first Australian hip-hop commercial release “down under by law” on virgin records in 1988 (with “westside posse”) and co-produced the first E.P from iconic Australian hiphop group “def wish cast” and as founding member of the DJ crew “CrossFader Raiders” he produced Australia’s first Dj battle record (CFR Battle Utensiles Vol-1 & 2) on his label “MUSICAL HI-JACKER RECORDINGS” as well as many underground Lp’s/mix tape’s! c.d’s,also playing support to many of hip-hop’s finest including: Y.B.T, RUN DMC, NAUGHTY BY NATURE, ICE T, PUBLIC ENEMY and HOUSE OF PAIN,plus being involved with Australia’s first and longest running dj school “DJ’S UNITED” and working with many community projects.

Nominated for a Aria award as part of the band renegade funk train in 97 which had commercial success in Australia and abroad seen him tour the country and perform on many of Australia’s top television show’s. In 98 he relocated to the U.K. to concentrate on music production & recording which has seen him play & record with various top London bands as well as produce his solo material along with his mix CDs, remix work & club gigs.

In January 2008 he returned home to Australia and has produced tracks and featured on many local releases as well as releasing a compilation Cd along side the “mashup” project “the a-team” and HYJAK .. straight jak .. album. FALLING RAIN is his most recent solo material featuring international artist’s from around the world as He continues to push the boundaries and remains to play a significant role in Australian hip-hop culture.



Entered the world of Hip-Hop via doing a little a bit of Breakin, It wasn’t until Dizar saw a segment on television that featured turntablism one morning that really inspired him to get a pair of decks.

In May 2001, Dizar bought decks and started to rock parties. To further the arts on turntablism, He learnt off videos then learnt from the best at the United DJ’s mixing school. Shortly after, joined the Nstrg8trz DJ Crew which enabled more jamming sessions for Dizar.

Entering Dj Battles and Competitions, has done well in gaining 3rd place in 2004 DMC DJ Championships NSW Australia and 4th place 2005 ITF DJ Championships “Advancement Class” North Coast Region Australia.

In November 2006, relocated to London UK. Soon after, met Ironfingaz and a crew was born named Invincible Armour. In the summer of 2009 fellow turntablists Downlow, Jda Kut and beatboxer Wireless joined up which made IA officially established.

Continuing to rock the 1′s and 2′s at many venues and performing special turntablist showcases at various hip-hop jams you can also catch Dizar on with Hell Money Program or on the livestream from time to time.

In the summer of 2011 linked up with the 5 piece Ska/Reggae/Hip-hop Band “Left Step Band” as a turntablist jumping on the festival circuit playing in various festivals in the UK. LSB continues to do shows in London and all around the country and beyond.

Alongside Invincible Armour, IA represented the UK battling in the 2011 World DMC DJ Team Championships. Respectively placing 5th in the Worlds.

Dizar mixes quality Hip-hop/Soul/Funk/Disco/Reggae/Dub or whatever is groovy is sprinkled in the mix whether it be Rock, Electro, Leftfield beats, Latin or whatevers funky!

Continues to rock venues with finesse turntablist skills and quality selections, Crafting beats, and honing skills in audio engineering. There will be a lot more to come so stay tuned!
