Thought the collaboration between Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre was awesome? Well, you’ll be excited to hear then that there’s a new collab in town and it brings together some of Sydney’s best beats with one of Sydney’s best eats.
That’s right, folks, PLAY BAR is excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with the super talented Nighthawk Diner guys to present The Nighthawk Underground; a permanent extension of The Nighthawk Diner, now open at PLAY.
No strangers to good food or good times, The Nighthawk Diner (AKA Al and Jim) have made quite the name for themselves hauling their mobile dining trailer ‘round Sydney dishing up their modern take on non-bastardized, Americana style food. At PLAY BAR, the guys have created a unique menu that’s set to take dining at PLAY underground, late night NYC style.
So, what’s on offer? How about a delicious selection of 6-inch sub sandwiches served on Nighthawk’s handmade potato brioche bun? Options include The Philly Cheesesteak (roast beef brisket, sautéed onions, green peppers, Monterrey Jack cheese, mayo and mustard) and The Cuban (sous vide pork shoulder, citrus glazed baked leg ham, chipotle jalapeño pickle relish, Monterrey Jack cheese, Barbie-Q mustard mayo). They’re also dishing up Yankee Nachos. Yep, nachos. Possibly the world’s best boozy snack.
If you haven’t already cancelled tonight’s plans to make tracks to PLAY, when you hear that the entire Nighthawk Underground menu is $7 bucks you probably should. Still not convinced? A $13 opening special of one sub and one tall can of Pabst Blue Ribbon American beer should do it. Don’t say we didn’t tell you…
Check out the menu…
