TOTAL ECLIPSE // (The X-ECUTIONERS)
Total Eclipse got his 1st set of turntables in ’91 at the age of 14, and “learned how to cut by watching Scratch, from EPMD cut on their videos on Video Music Box.” He was also influenced by Barry B, an older DJ from the neighborhood who showed him cuts and tricks.
In November ‘94 Total Eclipse entered his first DJ battle live on the air on DJ Mayhem’s college radio show on WNYU in New York City; he got first place and caught the attention of Rob Swift. Rob and Eclipse started to practice together, and Rob taught Eclipse the history of Battling and showed him how to beat juggle. “He showed me stuff that I never thought was possible – he showed me a tape of the ’90 New Music Seminar Battle between Steve D (a founding member of the X-men) and Francesca (from Italy) – it was the 1st time I saw 2 totally different and raw styles going against each other like that”. Through Rob, he became friendly with the other members of The X-men crew and started practicing with them.
These influences inspired him to take it to a new level – and it showed in ensuing battles; in March 1996, Eclipse entered the Beat Street Records DJ Battle where he took first place and received a gold bronzed Technic 1200 turntable. He entered several more battles around New York that year culminating in the International Turntables Federation Battle (ITF), where he went up against the best national and international competition. Eclipse rose to the challenge and placed first. He was shortly thereafter, inducted into the X-Men.
In June of 1997, The X-ecutioners recorded their debut album “X-pressions” for Asphodel Records. One of Eclipse’s many standout moment includes his work on the track called “Turntable Exhibition” a self produced cut that displays the essence of true turntablism with Eclipse using only his two Technic 1200’s and his Vestax 05PRO mixer to create a sonic collage. The X-ecutioners have since signed a recording deal with Loud Records – the debut “Built From Scratch” will be released this fall.
Total Eclipse recorded cuts on “Equinox” for Organized Konfusion on Priority Records. This created a special bond between the group and Eclipse. Organized Konfusion’s rhymes complimented Total Eclipse’s cutting skills at such an advanced level that Organized Konfusion became his favorite rap group. He then went on to do cuts and tour with Pharoah Monch which culminated in his first TV performance on BETÕs Live in LA, which was shortly followed by a solo appearance by Total Eclipse on The Queen Latifah show where he battled a fellow New York turntablist and took live studio audience audience by storm.
Total Eclipse plans to continue his work with The X-ecutioners, as well as work on his solo album to be released on Tableturns.

SHAN FRENZIE //
Frenzie has been around the block more than a few times. He’s got well over twenty years of experience behind him, a record collection that will make any deejay envious, and a concrete rep as one of Australia’s most trusted party rockers. Taking inspiration from when DJ’s used to play for no less than 6 hours straight and transition between styles: Original Soul & Funk 45′s – check. Deep House, Disco & Boogie – check. Hip Hop, R&B, Breaks & Beats – check. Party anthems and forgotten classics – check. Frenzie has got you covered.
His Groove Therapy radio show (now in it’s eleventh year) has been broadcasting weekly on 2SER FM every Friday lunchtime and has become an essential listen to all musically savvy Sydney-siders, while the podcast of the show has garnered a huge loyal fan base in all corners of the globe.
A veteran touring DJ of the Australian east coast, Frenzie also recently rocked dance floors in San Francisco and New York – and has had support billing alongside a who’s who of DJ royalty. Infact, pioneering deejay Grandmaster Flash requested Frenzie as his official support DJ for his most recent 2013 Sydney tour (four shows in total) – and only months earlier, Frenzie could be seen cutting it up on the turntables on stage with New Yorks Hip Hop legends The Ultramagnetic MC’s.
…and it’s no small wonder – Frenzie definitely has the skills to pay the bills. In 2012 he placed second in the New South Wales heats of the DMC, the most prestigious DJ competition in the world (He’s last foray into battle deejaying was almost twelve years earlier).
But can he rock a party? Frenzie has been dropping memorable sets for years. Whether it be a one hour power mix or an all night marathon set behind the turntables, Frenzie has plenty of experience reading the crowd and always drops an entertaining set – custom built from carefully considered quality jams and a dash of turntable trickery. Not only can Frenzie mix a record, he has definitely earned his stripes as the number one chief party rocker.

ADVERSE //
His unique mixing style and charismatic showmanship have distinguished Adverse (SYD) as a Music Trendsetter and favoured Party Rocker! From 2000 – 2004 Adverse (SYD) was responsible for putting the much sort after local mixtapes “4 Da Ladies, 4 Da Gents” series into the CD players of many Hip Hop & RnB lovers, but not without the hard work, self-discipline and strong personal ethics. Self-taught the art of mixing 80s and 90s Hip Hop & RnB, it was no coincidence that DJ Adverse (SYD) devoted his time and efforts to what started out as a hobby to being a true enthusiast to Hip Hop music culture. Aside from his duties as one of the original’s of local north shore Sydney radio station Triple H FM , Adverse (SYD) was swiftly put on the frontline of the mainstream of Dj-ing throughout Sydney in the early 2000′s. Playing at some of Sydney’s most popular night spots at the time Inc The Cave, Metropolis, MTV lair, Shark hotel & Star bar to name a few. He expanded his talents and became 1 of Australia’s leading MC’s for Booty Bar Australia which took him touring across the country with Booty Bar founder and Accredited ARIA award winner Dj Lenno for 2 years.
It was at this point that Adverse (SYD) met MC Noodlez (SYD) and became a founding member of Sydney up and coming independent urban label “The Groovedealers.” Under “The Groovedealers” banner, Adverse helped Noodlez form and write music for Sydney Hip Hop Trio “UNISON”, which took them across the state (NSW) to perform and promote, leading them to 1200 downloads of their debut EP. 3 tracks that “Adverse” appeared on from the EP featured on Triple J Unearthed for 4 consecutive weeks at the number 1, 2 and 3 position on the Hip Hop charts and also retaining itself in the top 20 for several months. This achievement combined with his successes with producing and performing with Australian Hip Hop Groups LP & The Architects and working closely with Mc Noodlez over the last 5 years shows that he is no stranger to connecting with an audience. Armed with over a decade of experience in the nightlife business, highly respected and loved by all who know him, Adverse has established close relationships with some of the country’s most notable and renowned DJ talents, artists and promoters.
His style is limitless with an enormous bound of continuous energy. It’s HIP HOP/Afro Inspired Music, with a lot of different twists. Nothings ever set or the same when he’s on the decks, the music is always freshly delivered. You can catch Adverse currently rocking local night spots and working on new material with Noodlez under the “The Groovedealers” and its sure to impress all that follow.
