Afrobrasiliana
**Global Vibes
+ Tropical Rhythms**
[FRIDAY – 02.12.2016]

The freshest Tropical dance floor sounds from Africa, The Carribean, Latin America and beyond, this side of the equator.

For the last few sessions our AB brother WALKING FISH has been absent but now he’s back, returning from a stint in West Africa he’s armed with a fresh batch of Tropical music goodness and a stack of hard to get and rare finds. We’ve decided to give him headline duties so he can share some of this heat, warm the dancefloor and blow your minds with these new sounds. This will be a very special evening and the last official AB party of the year so come celebrate with us and create more special vibes as we say thank you for another magical year at our spiritual home PLAY BAR before we return bigger and better in 2017.

* Remember to come down early to experience the full breadth and depth of the music we play. We run deep *

Groovescooter is an Australian record label incorporating the da dAdA imprint, a music production house and a film sync service that began in 1997, growing out of a radio show. Apart from hosting two weekly radio shows these days – those behind the label also produce events like the recurring music-meets-visual art exhibition, ArtGroupie and DJ regularly including a couple of Sydney residencies.

Weekly PLAYLISTS for the Groovescooter Show on Eastside FM can be found at: www.groovescooter.com/transmission/playlist

Weekly PLAYLISTS for the Jumping The Gap program on 2SER FM can be found here: www.2ser.com/programs/shows/jumping-the-gap

Feel free to pop wavs or hi-quality mp3s into our Drop Box, or get in touch if you have a great mix you’d like us to consider airing on one of the shows.

We dig music with depth and soul, and usually music that grooves, whether Afrobeat, forgotten soundtracks, boogaloo, soul, free-jazz, funk, Latin, dub, reggae, psych, post-rock, downbeat, freaky disco… you get the idea.
