GLENN LUMANTA //
Glenn Lumanta is an up and coming RnB/Soul artist residing in the west side of Sydney. Born in the Philippines and raised in Sydney, he has always had an affinity from music even from a young age and has grown to have an incredible love, respect and passion for it. For the the most part of his early years, he learned to play the piano by ear. As a young boy he was exposed to many of the great artists of decades past through endless afternoons with his father’s stereo on blast. Tunes from Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Billy Joel, Elton John, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Whitney Houston, and the list goes on. At age 14, he picked up the guitar and began writing original material.
Starting off his Youtube account in 2007, Glenn’s soulful voice has helped him clock over 2 million total views on YouTube, with content ranging from covers to collaborations, to original music, featuring keyboard and/or guitar arrangements. The buzz created by his Youtube account has earned the attention and accolades of music industry professionals worldwide and now performs in several residencies around Sydney.
He currently is studying at the Australian Institute of Music, which has further expanded his musical knowledge, delving into the worlds of Jazz, Funk, Gospel, Neo-Soul and many more.
With his debut EP entitled ‘In My Element’ set for release in February 2017, Glenn Lumanta is an artist gearing up for a more prominent career, setting sights on the international arena.
MICHAEL DUCHENSE //
‘A Muso’s Muso.’… Australian Singer, Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist, Michael Duchesne, is soon to be a powerful force in the music Industry. He’s equipped with a voice well beyond his years and has a presence to match.
Hailing from Sydney, at the youthful age of just 21, Michael has already honed his craft as a singer and guitarist to a fine edge, performing at some of Sydney’s top live venues alongside some of Australia’s best. In 2012, Michael was a featured artist and made the Top 24 on Australia’s hit TV show, ‘The Voice’.
Duchesne (pronounced ‘Du-Shane’) has performed as a solo act along Australia’s east coast and also works closely with Sydney Soul / R&B band, Ebony & Ivory.
After opening for American artist Eric Benét on his Australian tour in October 2011, Duchesne was approached by the Executive Music Director for ‘The Voice Australia’, Louise Perryman, and featured on the show in 2012. He made the final 24 under the mentorship of ‘Coach Seal’. His final performance – The Beatles’ classic ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’ – was broadcast Live to over two million people.
Michael sums up his experience on The Voice this way: “The Voice was a great experience, providing a real insight into the industry in which I aim to build my career. Filling the hours of waiting to perform by jamming with crazy, talented artists behind the scenes and then performing while backed by some of Australia’s very best musicians was awesome.
“And working with Seal? He’s a big man with an intense passion for music. He wanted to squeeze the best out of me. I’m incredibly grateful to have worked with him and for the opportunity to get my face and voice into the living rooms of millions of Australians.”
Besides live performances with renowned Soul and R&B bands like Brown Sugar and Ebony & Ivory, Michael gets his biggest kick out of songwriting and production. He’s already written over 60 original songs with a feel like… well, think Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway. Think John Mayer, John Legend & India Arie. Think Earth Wind & Fire and Brian McKnight.
