Japanese singersongwriter and loop pedal ninja KENTA HAYASHI heads back to our shores for a host of performances around the country and will be stopping in for a free performance at Play Bar on Thursday 22nd September.
Kenta’s rapid growth as an artist sees no end in sight as he endeavours on already his third to trip to Australia since last year. Fresh from performing at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival upon where he was nominated by Rolling Stone in the ‘Top 5 Recommended Acts’, Kenta Hayashi is a must for all.
Audiences are left speechless as they watch KENTA HAYASHI create an orchestra of sound by layering vocals, guitar, effects and percussion. The result is a fusion of psychedelic dubbed out journeys surrounded by soundscapes and an overtone of harmonies on a rhythmic foundation all created live by Kenta through the use of a loop pedal.
KENTA HAYASHI will be performing at OzAsia Festival (Adelaide), Folk by the Sea (Kiama), Wallaby Creek Festival (Cooktown), Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival and Island Vibe Festival (Brisbane) as well as a number of side shows from September till November.
